DESCRIPTION:
Level 1:

Curriculum Objectives:

The objective of this curriculum is to strengthen children’s creed (Aqeedah and Tawheed) and Islamic identity by establishing a strong bond to the first source of Islamic teachings, and understanding the proper recitation of Qur’an. The Qur’anic reading will primarily emphasize the development of ability to listen, read and understand the Qur’an.

Islamic Studies Curriculum:

1. My Beloved Allah, I Love Allah, Allah is one, Allah is our creator and Guidance for the Truth and I am a believer.
2. Prophet Muhammad, his childhood, his family, his friends, and Muhammad becomes a prophet.
3. Worshipping Allah: Arkan Ul-Islam: Wudoo, Learn to pray and Love Ramadan.
4. My Muslim World: The 3 holiest sites; Makkah, Madinah and Al-Quds.
5. My Muslim Manners: Ithaar and caring, Kindness, Cleanliness, obey parents and love to all.

Level 2:

Curriculum Objectives:

Students will be introduced to: Islam, Iman in my life, I love Muhammad, Born to warship, Islam in the world and my Muslim Manners.

Curriculum Outcomes of Islamic Studies:

1. Iman in My Life: Obey Allah, think of Allah first, Allah the creator, turning to Allah, Sons of Adam and the story of Prophet Nuh.
2. I Love Muhammad: His childhood, his love to children, his character, his marriage and Aam-Ul-Feel.
3. Born to Worship: Learn how to make wudoo, pray, make Du’aa. and Athan.
4. Islam in the World: It is Eid! Allahu Akbar, Eid around the world and Masajid around the world.
5. My Muslim Manners: Who is my hero, I am a Muslim, I am honest, I love my family and respect my teachers, elders and others.

Level 4:

Curriculum Objectives:

The objective of this curriculum is to strengthen children’s creed (Aqeedah and Tawheed) and Islamic identity by establishing a strong bond to the first source of Islamic teachings through memorization, reading, understanding and proper recitation of Qur’an.

Curriculum Outcomes of Islamic Studies:

1. Arkanul Iman five pillars of faith: What is Iman, I believe in Allah, Angels, Books, Messengers and prophets, Yawm Ul-Qiyamah, and Al-Qadar.
2. Story of Prophet Ibraheem and building Al-Ka’bah.
3. Worshipping Allah: Prayers, Zakah and Hajj.
4. Prophet Muhammad in Makkah: Muhammad becomes a prophet, early Muslims suffer, Boycott against Muslims, Al-Isra’ Wal Mi’raj, and Khadeejah the faithful wife.
5. Islam is Character: Cleanliness and purity, my characters of strength respect, truthfulness, perseverance and cooperation.

Level 5:

Curriculum Objectives:

The objective of this curriculum is to strengthen children’s creed (Aqeedah and Tawheed) and Islamic identity by establishing a strong bond to the first source of Islamic teachings through memorization, reading, understanding and proper recitation of Qur’an.

Islamic teaching includes:

1. Family of faith: Profit Ibraheem, Isma’eel, Is’haq, Ya’qoup and his son.
2. Prophet Mohammad in Madinah: Al-Hijrah, The Battles of Bader and Uhud.
3. Praying the Prophet’s Way: Taharah, Najaseh, Sunnah prayers and Friday prayer.
4. Fasting Ramadan: Fasting, Salat Al-Taraweeh, Mubtilat Al-Siyam, and Eid Al-Fitr.
5. My Islamic Life Style: Sunan Al-Fitra, Islamic personal grooming and eating right.
6. Islam in Africa: Islam in North and South Africa, Mosques and Islam in Nigeria
7. My Islamic character: Love Muslims and the Six Rights of Muslims on each other.
